Jeffrey Gelfand, M.D is Senior Advisor for International Medical Affairs and Visiting Professor at Massachusetts General Hospital, Partners HealthCare System and Harvard Medical School. He is the former Dean for Research at Tufts University School of Medicine and Senior Vice President for Research and Technology at the New England Medical Center, and was the Sheldon M. Wolff, M.D. Professor of Medicine and Chairman of the Department of Medicine of Tufts University School of Medicine and Physician-in-Chief at the New England Medical Center. He is Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, and Clinical Immunology and Allergy. He currently serves as Director of the International Program of the Center for Integration of Medicine and Innovative Technology, leading a team developing technology to detect agents of bioterror such as anthrax.
